DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
TITLE
Students who have successfully completed the Associate Degree Program of the Department of Law of Yatağan Vocational School will be given the associate degree degree of the profession of Justice.
SPECIAL ACCEPTANCE TERMS
For the admission of students to higher education, the candidate must have taken the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) nationwide or apply for the transition exam without examination. YKS is held once a year by the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM). Students are placed in departments of higher education institutions according to the scores obtained from YKS and high school grade point averages.
QUALIFICATION CONDITIONS
The maximum period of study for an associate degree is four years.
RECOGNITION OF PREVIOUS EDUCATION
Students enrolled in higher education institutions have the right to demand recognition of their previous studies at different universities. New students must submit their own transcripts and course contents to the relevant department within the first week of the registration year in order to be recognized. A student who has started to study in an equivalent program at home or abroad can apply for transfer. The acceptance of the students is examined and evaluated privately before the beginning of the semester, taking into consideration the conditions of each student and the degree to which they apply.
HISTORY OF THE PROGRAM
Associate Degree Program in the Department of Law and Associate Degree in the Department of Law (Evening Education) will start education as of 2019.
PROGRAM PROFILE
Within the scope of the Associate Degree Program of the Department of Law, education is carried out professionally in a scientific and practical manner. The justice program aims to train the labor force in legal services sector to assist in the execution of judicial and administrative affairs carried out by various organizations of the Ministry of Justice and all judicial authorities.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
Graduates of the Department of Law with the theoretical and practical knowledge from the Department of Justice Associate Degree Program will be familiar with the general principles and rules required by the employees in the legal services sector. Graduates will recognize the basic laws and related regulations, especially the Constitution. Within the framework of the knowledge gained in the Turkish judicial system, it contributes greatly to the realization of justice, especially in terms of administration. Graduates will also know the hierarchy in the offices and has the knowledge level to create a well-functioning office environment. The graduate, who is aware of the innovations and changes in the field of justice and law, helps the development in this field by expressing this knowledge clearly to his colleagues and the people and groups he serves. In addition, the Department of Justice graduates by doing all kinds of correspondence; conducts productive studies in the field of justice and law by having basic accounting knowledge, basic protocol knowledge and most importantly analytical thinking ability.
EXAM REGULATION, EVALUATION AND RATING
The extent to which students are successful in achieving the learning outcomes foreseen in each curriculum unit in the Justice Program curriculum is measured by mid-term activities and final examinations held at the end of each semester. The midterm and final exams are held at the dates, places and times determined and announced by the university. The final grades of the students are given by the instructors considering that they meet the attendance requirement based on the results of midterm exam, homework evaluation, final exam and other evaluation. Evaluation is made out of 100 full points and converted to letter grade.
GRADUATION CONDITIONS
In order to graduate from the Justice Program, a student must meet the following requirements:- Achieving all courses with 120 ECTS credits in the course plan- Having a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00
EMPLOYMENT PROFILES OF GRADUATES
Graduates of the Department of Justice Associate Degree Program work in the public sector, especially within the Ministry of Justice as a clerk and enforcement officer. They can also be employed as lawyer clerks in law firms and law offices, notary clerks in notary public offices, and as follow-up staff in lawyers in banks and insurance companies.
ACCESS TO ADVANCED STUDIES
Law Department who complete successfully the Justice Associate Degree Program Student Selection and Vertical Transfer Examination, which was held every year by the Placement Center (DGS) for many if they are successful in Turkey can continue various education in law school academic life in college. Graduates of the program have the opportunity to complete their undergraduate programs by registering to Anadolu University Open Education Faculties Department of Public Administration without examination and giving difference courses.
